In May of 2009 I got to experience what it was like to test drive the worlds fastest and most expensive sports car, the Bugatti Veyron. I’m probably the poorest, and most likely one of the youngest, that will ever get a chance to drive the car, and it was a huge honor. So what is a car worth well over 1.6million dollars like? Amazingly simple, which was the cars goal from the beginning. The car cruises at 90 like your standing still, and with a plant of your foot can climb to 150mph+ in just 4 seconds. The car makes traveling at HIGH triple digit speeds feel like you’re going on a Sunday drive, and you keep wondering why everyone is flying by at warp speed. Of course, you would think at those speeds that coming up on someones rear end on tight windy French roads would be a heart stopping ordeal, but the car stops so quickly, and so effortlessly, that you constantly over brake by miles. The car is such an amazing piece of technology, and after I’ve driven this car I can not imagine the kind of forces needed to take this car to the edge. The attention to detail that the builders put into each car is unparalleled, and the treatment of customers is something truly amazing and obviously befitting of the billionaires that purchase the car. Hopefully one day the stars will align just right, and I will somehow have the means to purchase one for myself. But for now, where did I put that lotto ticket?
