BMW presents the worlds first ‘Sports Activity Coupe’, and motorguru.com takes to the road behind the wheel of an x50i model. (See the X6 Handling Track video at motorguru.com ) This is a test of the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe, as BMW has named it. How best to explain to you what exactly the X6 is: imagine taking a BMW X5 and a 6-Series coupe and giving them a room for the night. The result in the morning would be the X6. Got it?We tested the x50i which was wonderful to drive, it’s throaty V8 twin turbo propelling you to ‘un-SUV’ speeds faster than you can imagine. Thankfully, the technology behind the chassis and all-wheel drive system allowed for cornering on par with the performance of the engine, or we would have been testing the ABS and airbags instead!
