All the new 2009 BMW Z4s supplied for its international press launch in Alicante, Spain &#8212; sDrive 35i models in champagne metallic &#8212; came equipped with the optional twin-clutch seven-speed sport automatic. Even if the fixed paddles on the steering column allow you to play Robert Kubica on the wonderfully winding mountain roads nearby, it&#8217;s a clear signal that BMW isn&#8217;t aiming the Z4 at purists, anymore, and that the car has become something else.
